Wow – we have a lot for you this issue! Several FREE quilt patterns; an oversize messenger bag; EQ7 Dresden Plate lesson.
Michele Muska and Darlene Zimmerman teamed up to teach us The Yin and Yang of Quilting: Using Traditional Tools for Modern Quilts, featuring EZ Quilting templates from Simplicity. Darlene took it a step farther and created a Hexagon Table Runner just for us! Click on the photo for the download:
Michele created an auction quilt for the Quilt Alliance, Ring of Fire. She states: “I am on the board of the non profit Quilt Alliance. This 20″-square quilt is my auction donation for the 2013 fundraiser on eBay in November where over 100 quilts are auctioned in 3 weeks. The Dresden happens to be my very favorite quilt pattern and since this one is an 18-degree wedge it takes 20 of them to make a full plate! Perfect, right?” Click the photo to read the Quilt Alliance story and get the free pattern!
Heidi Kory from Electric Quilt (www.electricquilt.com) gives several variations on Dresden Plate designs to enhance her article on Page 80. Click the photo to download the PDF for step-by-step directions!
Patty Young and Emalee Grambo for MODKID offer a great messenger bag in the Fall issue (See CROSSBODY BAG on page 49). Here they show how to make a larger bag, for your laptop, business files or maybe to carry more FABRIC! Click the photo for the download!
