In my house, there are a lot of men. The girl dog and I are left to fend for ourselves. So in choosing my fabrics for this project I took that into consideration.
These were my choices:
As I started working on the pillow, I decided to pull the red out of the mix. I decided that it was just too much, and since I am very partial to blue, would just use the two colors. With the cream and the blue to cut, I went to work.
Here is my two tone pillow!!
Most couches these days have more than one pillow, so I decided that I couldn’t stop there. I wanted to use more of my ranch themed fabrics – so I went to my slightly large fabric stash, and chose some new blues.
I decided this time to go monochromatic, and see what result that would give me.
I present to you Tile Work Pillow Number 2
Neither one of these pillows took a super long time; however, the second one did go faster. I was a little more comfortable with my process. I think… just maybe… that I have to make more. I love the change they made in the look of my couches. My big brown leather couches. My brown leather couches that were just crying for color. They are happy now!!!
I placed both pillows on one couch, and waited for the reactions.
Both were will accepted (yes – I have trained my men well) but there was a definite winner.
