Pantone has chosen the 2013 Color of the year to be Emerald. Wow – Such a pretty color, and in a lot of tones.
2012’s Color was Tangerine. That was a bright color, but it is one that I hadn’t worked with much. By bringing this color to my attention, I think it made me look at it in a whole new perspective. I am not sure if it influenced by fabric buying, or just by paying better attention to what I had in my stash.
I know that it did draw my eye to those quilts in the quilt shows that used shades of orange. I am sure I would have seen them anyways – but the use of shades of orange drew my attention faster.
